A Black and White Look Up Minimalist Photograph of a Wandering Cloud travelling across the Sky.

This Minimalist Photograph was shot near Central Park Jaipur. I was on my way to JKK - Jawahar Kala Kendra and near Central Park, I spotted this Big Wandering Cloud. I stopped on the main road, and I was still on my Activa Scooter. I captured 2 pictures of this Wandering Cloud and settled for the 1st one. 

There were 2 other smaller clouds nearby, but I was not able to make sense out of their shapes and needed a supporting element in the frame with them.

This Wandering Cloud was good enough for me, as it covered nearly the entire frame being in the center, and despite that I was able to leave some Negative Space in the frame and follow the basic rules of Minimalist Photography.

There is always a challenge with these kinds of Photographs. These Minimalist Photographs are so simple that sometimes you feel like they are not worthy enough to edit, post, or even to keep it in my folder. I was thinking about deleting this Photograph from my folder only yesterday.

But, today, I realized that, this Photograph deserves a place on my blog for that very same reason, aka for being too simple. It was only a matter of editing. Once the editing was right and the Photo popped, this was in.

This indecision is a big challenge for me as a Minimalist Photographer and this has happened with me on earlier occasions as well.

Cutting the Arrow

What motivated me to click this shot "Cutting the Arrow"  was the Black Wire cutting across. 

To begin with, I was standing too far from the White Arrow, and because of that the Black Wire was nowhere near it.

I kept moving towards the White Arrow till the time I had the Wire cut it (visually) approximately in half.

This is a Look Up Minimal Shot that I clicked at Ravindra Manch Jaipur.

I had the 100 mm Prime Macro Canon L Series F/2.8 Lens mounted on my Canon 600D Crop Sensor Camera. 

I went to Ravindra Manch to attend Jaipur Art Summit.

I remember it was very hot and I captured this Minimalist Photograph at about 3 p.m in the afternoon. 

I attend a lot of Art Events for they help me absorb the Art Vibes around. 

Well, I was a little bored tonight and I wanted to post something Very Simple. 

So, I decided to post these Windows with Red Border i.e. Minimalism as Simple Geometry Minimal.

• Primarily we have Two Big Rectangles and Two Big Long Lines in the frame.
  
• And As I mostly do, I chose a Side Angle.

A Minimalist Photograph of a Distant window at Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur

This shot is taken from the new Cafe that has opened up at Jawahar Kala Kendra, on the 1st Floor name Cafe Quaint. 

I went there last week, just to try their menu and the wonderful Vanilla Tea that they serve. 

Of course, other than the menu, my motive was to get at a unique height or what I call "Location Advantage" to create a different sort of a frame. How else am I supposed to get a new Minimalist Photograph from Jawahar Kala Kendra aka JKK?

I have taken so many shots at JKK but just 1 or two from an elevated level. 

Hey ! are you wondering that I had actually nothing to with the Cafe and I can go to any extent to get  a Minimalist Frame from a different perspective/angle? 

Well, then guess what? Your guess is right. 

The Cafe was just an excuse ;)

There is something in this picture that I generally do not do in most Minimalist compositions and that thing is including a foreground element. 

The Green Leaves, although  blurred and out of focus, are the Highlight of the Photograph here...It is not accidental. 

To start off, I had taken similar shots avoiding the leaves, only to later realize that its the Green Leaves that make the shot and not break it.

Illuminated Exit

Each soul has a purpose in life and the purpose is made known to it before it takes shelter into a body. Some souls are able to fulfill their purpose and are given an Illuminated (or celebrated) Exit from the world just like a gala farewell party to a performing employee of the company. The illuminated geometric structure with sky in the background is used here to depict such a scenario. 

Many souls on the other hand fall prey to minds influenced by the material society, hence they feel trapped and continuously crave for an exit. So the question is what do you do? Well, become aware of your soul and its wants. Listen its calls. Make it feel comfortable in your body. Don't do any sort of self-harm. Follow a healthy life-style. Souls may want to live longer in your body to fulfill their purpose and they would tend to feel restless in an unhealthy body.

Ok, now back to the shot. This shot was taken at Jantar Mantar during the first Instameet cum Photowalk oragnised by my Instagram Page "Learn Minimalism" for the theme Simple Geometry on 20.09.2015. (I am doing my bit to popularize this genre of photography.) Although I have categorized this shot under "Minimalism as Less Elements", this can also go in under Minimalism as Simple Geomentry for lines. 

I was down on my knees for the shot, looking towards the sky and it took me a good 6-7 shots to finally get done. I generally compose shots using my LCD screen but since it was extremely hot and bright nothing was visible on the screen. Therefore I switched over to the View Finder. Why did I mention this? because in the View Finder of most cameras there is no 3x3 overlapping grid which makes things a little tough for visual artists like me.

Street Lamp and Building Wall Minimalist Photography Against Blue Sky

When everyone gives up on you, don't lose heart. It is that very point from where you hit bottom, a V-Shaped Recovery happens. The same happens in the economy and the stock markets. I am sure many of us have seen those examples unfold in front of us many-a-times before. 

So next time you feel that all is over, feel a little upbeat and hopeful. You might just be hovering near bottom. Life has the tendency to average out either extremes and everything eventually reverts to mean.

I used the downward trending red line of a textured wall (texture representing struggle) to make it visibly connect to the starting point of an upward curving street light thus creating the alphabet "V". The upward curve lies in clear blue skies, signifying good times. To compose, I used random twisting and turning of the camera in my hand to the point where I could visually connect the line and the curve.

This shot was taken at a Petrol Pump on Ajmer Road, Jaipur. Another Look-up Minimalist Photo that I took on that pump was this Sky is the Limit
