Media Coverage

Last Updated: March 2026

Over the past decade, my work as a minimalist photographer has been recognised by national and international media.

From India’s largest financial daily Economic Times to China’s State Newspaper.

These features have covered my practice of using light, shadow, and geometry to strip photographs down to their bare essentials and the broader cultural conversation around minimalism that my work has helped shape the years. View my portfolio.

I have been featured by various news outlets and publications for my Minimalist Photography work.

(1) Featured by "Economic Times Sunday Edition" on 7th October 2018 as a Minimalist Photographer among people practicing Minimalism via various forms in India.

India’s most widely read financial newspaper featured me among Indians actively practising minimalism across different disciplines.

The article explored how minimalism is shifting from a design trend to a lived philosophy and my photography was presented as one of the most focused expressions of that shift in the country.

(2) Featured and quoted by "China Daily" on 15th March 2019 in the article More turning to the bare essentials of life

China Daily, one of the world’s largest English-language newspapers, quoted me in their feature on the global turn toward essentialist living. Being featured in an international publication of this scale and specifically being sought out as a voice on minimalism from India remains one of the more unexpected and meaningful recognitions this work has received.

Jawahar Kala Kendra is where I have spent over a decade training my eye. The geometry, the light corridors, the shadows that shift by the hour. It is not a location I picked for convenience. It is the location that shaped how I shoot.

I take small groups of 4 people per session in a day through it for two hours. We start with a one hour presentation on how minimalist photography actually works as a visual language, then go out and shoot it together for an hour.
