I am back with Minimalism as Simple Geometry once again. 

Via this "Ray of Light" cutting across the big window, I wanted to show:

A) How the Light created by nature, beautifully bisects the intersection point of two red lines.

B) That the Single Light beam, visually appears to be Two Light Beams or Rays of Light, because of varied depth in the frame. The white wall just behind the window is actually further away and that lead to the creation this Illusion.

*Also note that the red area of the wall is carefully placed following the Rule of Thirds, both at the top and on the left of the frame.

Such shots are a rare find and once you spot them, don't waste a second. If I was even a Minute or two late, the Ray of Light would have entirely changed its position.

This, was the only shot I took that day on my visit to the famous Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur.

7 Macro Minimalist Photos featuring Water Droplets

As promised earlier, I am here with my Minimalism and Nature Series. I have decided to include 7 Photographs. Seven are not too many nor too little, rather just about right. I had also mentioned, that I shall be upgrading my Camera Kit which was long overdue. 

So Finally, yesterday I got my New Canon 100mm F2.8 L IS USM Macro Lens

Today, being India's 67th Republic Day, was a half day working for me. I came home very early and had some time to spare. Soon, it started to rain heavily and Therefore I thought why not Mix Minimalist Photography and Nature as a theme with Macro Minimalist Photography.

"I have a thing for Water Droplets" to be frank. So I chose that as my very first Macro Subject. Some people like shooting insects/bugs etc with Macro Lenses but that's not my cup of earl grey tea.

PS: All 7 Macro Minimalist Water Droplets Photos below fall under the Minimalism as Less Elements category of Minimalist Photography. 

All Photographs have been captured using the Canon 100mm F2.8 L IS USM Macro Lens

I shot for about 2 hours. A lot of time was spent looking for these tiny water droplets and even more on adjusting the Focus. Most shots were taken on Manual Focus. Although Canon 100mm F2.8 L IS USM Macro Lens comes with Hybrid Image Stabilization but that does not give you accurate results always. If you use a tripod then you will sail through the focus problem easily.

As for me, I am just a lazy bum. I shoot handheld. Infact, a friend called me during my shoot and I was even clicking Macro by gripping the Camera with just one hand. Of course, that did NOT help. 

Anyways I hope you like the above Minimalist Photographs. These are just my first few Macro Minimalist Shots and I hope to publish better one in the coming days.

Minimalism and Nature is a beautiful Minimalist Photography theme. The more you click such photographs, the better you feel.

Nature Heals !

Hope this year, I will cover more Nature Photographs. I do plan to buy a Canon Macro Lens, and that I am sure would help me in achieving this :)

So What made me click This Blooming Plant Minimalist Photo this particular way?

The slight curved lean of the green plant on the white wall crossed my eye and I stopped right near it. 

Now, the question was, whether to take a vertical shot with just the plant and the white wall, highlighting the curve keeping the photo strictly Minimalist? OR to experiment a little?

I decided to experiment a little. 

Right next to the plant you see this rough brick pattered wall. I initially thought of taking that as a separate Minimalist Shot, but then, I improvised and merged the two Shots that had crossed my mind. 

The result is the above Minimalist Photograph of the Blooming Plant.

The plant was kept to the left of the frame in the corner, following the "Rule of Thirds". The bricks were kept to the right. 

Note, how the empty plain white wall acts as an opposite, to the fully covered rough brick wall. 

That, also added to the Art Element and Aesthetics of the Photograph.

As for the Minimalism classification, The photograph falls under the Minimalism as Less Elements Category of Minimalist Photography. The only elements being a) The Blooming Plant and b) The Brick Patterned Wall
