OK, so what we have here is A Black and White Minimal Art Photograph of Light Passing through a Box lit via a Light Bulb at Jawahar Kala Kendra Jaipur.

This Photo is a bit Maximal in Nature aka Maximally Minimal, because of shadow spreading all over the frame.

But, in essence the Photo is Minimal because of Less Elements, i.e The Box and the Shadows created via it. No other elements are here.

If you look at the Photograph ignoring the shadows, then you will be able to see how I composed my shot. I simply placed the Box in the frame according to rule of thirds, leaving negative space on the side. That negative space is where the shadows are.

The EXIF Data of the Photo is as follows:

  • Camera Model: Canon EOS 6D Mark II

  • Lens: Canon 24-105 mm Prime Lens

  • F-stop: f/4.5

  • Shutter Speed: 1/200 sec.

  • ISO speed: ISO-1000

  • Exposure bias: 0 step

  • Focal Length: 50 mm

  • Metering mode: Spot

  • Flash mode: No flash

  • Exposure program: Manual

  • White Balance: Manual

So today, I attended the Jaipur Literature Festival 2019 that usually happens at Diggi Palace Jaipur in January every year.

As usual, I always attend the festival to click pictures rather than for the literature part. The decorations each year are unique and I look forward to checking them out.

Since a lot of Photographers attend this event too, its a fun outing. Not to forget the numerous food stalls and the celebrities and authors that come from all over the world.

Getting back to the shot, what I always do to avoid clutter at this place, is to either "Look up" at the sky or at the Walls.

This shot was taken near Darbar Hall, today at around 4.45 pm. This is the Look-up Minimal Photograph.

I was in the Monochrome Camera Settings for this one. Therefore this did not take much time in the editing software. I was initially shooting just the plant but then I saw this Eagle coming near my subject and because I was shooting on the LCD Screen Mode, I could easily wait and time the eagle for my shot.

The EXIF Data of the Photo is as follows:

  • Camera Model: Canon EOS 6D Mark II

  • Lens: Canon 24-105 mm Prime Lens

  • F-stop: f/5.6

  • Shutter Speed: 1/2000 sec.

  • ISO speed: ISO-320

  • Exposure bias: 0 step

  • Focal Length: 80 mm

  • Metering mode: Spot

  • Flash mode: No flash

  • Exposure program: Manual

  • White Balance: Auto

Hope you enjoyed the Plant Vs Flying Bird Minimalist Photograph.

Happy New Year 2019 !

This is my 1st Post of 2019 and what better way to start the New Year than by posting a Minimalism as Few Distinctive Colors, Photograph?

I found these colorfully painted walls near Cafe Tea Tradition, Jaipur.
I was passing by on my Honda Activa Scooter. I stopped by for a quick couple of shots.

The Gray Arc/ Curve that you see in the foreground is actually a large cement sewer pipe, that I have used intentionally to break the Colorful Pattern Photograph (that I randomly titled "Thoughts in Color" to be honest)

and since it is mostly out of focus it also does not disturb the frame.

The EXIF Data of the Photo is as follows:

  • Camera Model: Canon EOS 6D Mark II

  • Lens: Canon 24-105 mm Prime Lens

  • F-stop: f/14

  • Shutter Speed: 1/60 sec.

  • ISO speed: ISO-2000

  • Exposure bias: 0 step

  • Focal Length: 105 mm

  • Metering mode: Spot

  • Flash mode: No flash

  • Exposure program: Manual

  • White Balance: Manual

Hope you enjoyed the Thoughts in Color Minimalist Photograph.
