I love shooting Staircases and Time and again I think of creating new frames out of it.

This Side Rail And Arc Minimalist Photograph is a result of one such Experiment.

Also, I have a thing for Staircase Side-rails but I haven't shot many of them yet.

So I thought, It would be a good idea to try and shoot them.

What I initially saw was just the Side-Rail to be a Line or a Simple Geometric element.

The frame would have been just too vanilla if I had just shot just that.

So, I decided to include the ARC right next to where the Staircase ended.

This also helped me show the Juxtaposition between the geometric shapes, of one being just a straight line and the other one being a curved one.

This staircase is one amongst the many at Amer Fort, Jaipur.

If you happen to visit Jaipur anytime soon, make sure you visit this place.

Its Huge and very good especially for Photography :)

Have a Great Weekend*.

*Oh Wait ! Today is only Thursday.

Well, I Minimalized the Week - lol

I am Back :) but with a Simple Geometry Minimalism photograph this time around.

These Colorful Diagonal Lines, were spotted on a closed metal shutter of a Shop, right opposite to the famous Hawa Mahal Palace in Old Jaipur City.

I clicked this with my Canon 600 D and the 100mm Prime Macro Lens that I have.

I captured this from the side and used a shallow depth of field to create a different sort of a imagery that I usually do not produce.

I rarely use shallow depth of field (at least as of now, lol...no by the way since the last 4 years ).
That frequency might change in the future though.

Hope you like this subtle change in my style.

All feedback about the Photograph is welcomed.

Have a good day !!

I have to cut it short today, as the lights just went off and my laptop might turn off pretty soon.

Bye ! See you Later !

A Minimalist Photograph of a Distant window at Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur

This shot is taken from the new Cafe that has opened up at Jawahar Kala Kendra, on the 1st Floor name Cafe Quaint.

I went there last week, just to try their menu and the wonderful Vanilla Tea that they serve.

Of course, other than the menu, my motive was to get at a unique height or what I call "Location Advantage" to create a different sort of a frame. How else am I supposed to get a new Minimalist Photograph from Jawahar Kala Kendra aka JKK?

I have taken so many shots at JKK but just 1 or two from an elevated level.

Hey ! are you wondering that I had actually nothing to with the Cafe and I can go to any extent to get  a Minimalist Frame from a different perspective/angle?

Well, then guess what? Your guess is right.

The Cafe was just an excuse ;)

There is something in this picture that I generally do not do in most Minimalist compositions and that thing is including a foreground element.

The Green Leaves, although  blurred and out of focus, are the Highlight of the Photograph here...It is not accidental.

To start off, I had taken similar shots avoiding the leaves, only to later realize that its the Green Leaves that make the shot and not break it.

Hope you enjoyed the shot. Good Night.
