This is a Shot that I clicked yesterday. Thanks to my neighbors as this is a clothesline used by them. 

Earlier they were using a Green Clothesline. They replaced it with a Yellow one only recently. 

I cross this wall daily before going to office so you might see some more shots from this wall in the future.

What prompted me to click this frame was, The shadow of 2 Clothespins being casted under one.

This is the "Stop everything and Shoot Shot", you can't waste much time as the shadows move very fast. So I quickly ran to my room and got back to this wall within 45 seconds.

Also, some people set up their subjects prior to shooting but I do not like doing that.

I like it all natural.

Some Photographers might re-arrange the pins here to get this kind of shot but for me If such a thing is done the "Feel is lost".

What's even more interesting, is that I kept roaming the entire day last Sunday to get a decent enough Minimal Art Photograph but I got my shot yesterday right outside my house.

Thanks to nature for guiding me to it and to my neighbors of course :)

Railing Shadow

What we have here is a Black and White Minimalist Photograph of the Shadow of a Metal Railing at Jantar Mantar Jaipur, India, shot via Canon 6D Mark II Camera.

This is a special photograph for me as I love long shadows and this one I took by getting downstairs the main Sun Dial at Jantar Mantar. 

I wanted to show the Shadow of the Bar with a Spherical shape on the top left, falling on the right side of the Wall. 

To add more interest into the photo, I also included the Black area on the top right i.e the Zig Zag kind of shape. 

I could have otherwise cropped it or taken the shot more from my right hand side a few minutes earlier to keep it clean...

Black and White was a Choice while shooting and I had my camera in the Monochrome mode.

A Minimalist Photograph of a Blue Metal Curl mounted on a Textured White Indian Wall at a Cafe in Jaipur City

I took this photograph at a cafe in Jaipur, India. A blue metal curl mounted on a textured white wall, right next to a blue wooden window with simple horizontal lines.

What we have here are only two elements in one frame. This is the less elements approach in minimalist photography.

The curl and the lines as you can see are opposites. One is fluid and circular, the other one is straight and repetitive.

Keeping both in the same frame creates a natural juxtaposition among these two forms.

Close up minimal is something I keep coming back to. When you move physically closer to a subject, two things happen.

The background sorts of collapsed and disappears and the details actually take over.

Here the white wall becomes the negative space and the two blue elements become the entire story in the frame.

The texture of the wall adds just enough interest without drawing attention away from the curl and the lines.

Blue against white is as clean as it can get in terms of having a minimalist color palette that is ideal for Minimalist Photography

There are no extra colours and the background is not busy. This is what declutter or decluttering means in minimalist photography.

You are not removing things in post processing, rather you are choosing your position and your frame in such a way that only what matters stays in the frame.

Minimalist Photography in Jaipur

Jaipur gives you these kinds of photography subjects constantly. The old city is full of walls, windows, doors and ironwork painted and repainted over decades.

Th modern city full of cafes and hangouts is no less. The colours are saturated, the surfaces are textured and the details reward a close eye. Most people walked past these without a second look.

The cafe I was at, had maybe twenty people sitting in it when I captured this shot.

Simplicity in Minimalist Photography

Simplicity in photography is not about finding simple subjects. It is about finding the simple version from a complex scene.

This wall had a door, a sign, tables, chairs and people around it. I moved in close, excluded everything else and found the photograph inside all of that.

• Canon 50mm Prime F/1.4

Greetings from Pink City once again. 

Hope this picture finds you in the best of your health and spirit. 

Oh wait a minute, that's how I used to write the opening lines of a letter when I was learning letter writing in my 8th Grade in St Xaviers School Jaipur. 

Anyways, I am pretty sure that you are definitely fine :) for the massively negative Lunar Eclipses have passed and even the very recent Solar Eclipse. 

So with those behind our back, lets smile and be merry for a while :)

OK, so as you can see I am back with a Black and White Minimalism Shot of The Inverted Light Triangle

Yet again, these walls belong to Jawahar Kala Kendra, 

haha well NO.... this time it is Jantar Mantar, Jaipur.

What prompted me to take this shot was the Inverted Light Triangle being formed on the wall high above. All thanks to Sunlight/ Nature.

You see its difficult to find Triangles, and I consider myself lucky if nature hands over one to me :)

The Camera Kit I had that day was my Canon 600D and the 100 mm Prime Macro Lens. 

The composition is pretty simple to comprehend, I just followed the rule of thirds here, on the right, left and at the top of the frame.

and Bam the frame is ready. 

This is Core Minimalism as I like to call it.

For its done using Simple Geometry, of course Black and White and Light and Shadow contributes  nicely to the frame aesthetics.

Another LookUp or Looking Up Minimalist Shot taken at Jawahar Kala Kendra.

Whats special here is that I showed the contrast between the Curves on the Front Pillar (on the right) and the Straight Lines in the background ie the Roof. 

To get both the foreground and the background completely in focus I shot this at F/22 aperture value. 

I have recently upgraded to a full-frame camera aka Canon 6D Mark II and I am having fun with it.

I don't know why but these days I am taking more of Monochrome Shots.
